Who can take part

  • You must have a type of stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer that has not spread to distant organs and can be removed with surgery.
  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your heart and lungs must work well, with a resting heart rate of at least 60 beats per minute and blood pressure not too low.
  • You must be in good overall health (able to do daily activities without help).
  • You cannot have had any previous chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation for this cancer.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding and agree to use birth control during and for 6 months after treatment.
