Who can take part
- Female, ages 10 to 18 years.
- You need to have a parent or guardian give permission, and you agree to join.
- If you have PCOS, you must have both high androgen levels and irregular or absent periods, and your body mass index (BMI) must be at or above the 95th percentile for your age.
- If you are in the obesity control group, your BMI is at or above the 95th percentile but you do not have PCOS.
- If you are a healthy control, you have a normal weight (BMI between the 5th and 84th percentile) and no chronic illness, high androgens, or menstrual problems.
