Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with either glioblastoma (a type of brain tumor) or pancreatic cancer, and your tumor is at least 1 cm (pea-sized) on an MRI or CT scan
  • You are generally able to take care of most daily tasks (Karnofsky score of 60 or higher)
  • Your blood counts and kidney/liver function are within certain limits (your doctor can check)
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, and agree to use birth control if needed
  • You are not currently taking statin cholesterol medications (or can stop them for a few days before the study)
