Melatonin for better sleep in IBD patients in remission
Treatments studied
Part of Brain & nervous system, Digestive system, Mental health clinical trials.
This study tests whether melatonin (a natural sleep hormone) can improve sleep quality in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) whose disease is quiet (in remission). If you have IBD and trouble sleeping, you may be able to join.

This study looks at how sleep patterns change in adults with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who are currently in remission. It may help researchers understand sleep issues in IBD and identify ways to improve care during symptom-free periods.
This trial tests whether a sleep-focused therapy can help people with active ulcerative colitis who also have trouble sleeping. It aims to improve both sleep and UC symptoms.
This trial tests whether taking melatonin (a natural sleep hormone) helps stabilize mood in people with bipolar disorder compared to a placebo (a pill with no active ingredient). It may help improve sleep and mood stability.
This trial tests if melatonin can improve sleep quality for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). If you are able to take pills by mouth and are not on a breathing machine, this study might help you rest better.
This trial studies whether daily bright light can improve gut barrier “leakiness” and reduce inflammation in adults with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. It compares bright light versus dim light in a crossover design, meaning you may receive both.
This trial tests whether a melatonin supplement can improve sleep quality in people with mild sleep issues. It may help if you have poor sleep but not full insomnia.
