Who can take part

  • You are a woman between 18 and 60 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 27.0 and 39.9.
  • You have not done yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, or structured relaxation in the past 3 months.
  • You have not started a weight-loss program in the past 3 months.
  • You can attend weekly sessions and are willing not to start new exercise, diet, or weight-loss programs during the study.
  • You have no major heart, neurological, or uncontrolled thyroid conditions, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
