Comparing KH607 to vortioxetine for major depression

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (moderate to severe), with your current episode lasting at least 3 months if it is your first, or at least 1 month if you have had depression before.
  • Your depression is not accompanied by psychotic features (like delusions or hallucinations), and you do not have other major psychiatric conditions like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or an anxiety disorder that is the primary issue.
  • You have not had a poor response to two or more different antidepressants in a previous episode, and you are not currently receiving structured psychotherapy (like CBT) or certain other therapies for depression.
  • You are willing to stop taking other antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, or sedatives during the trial (after a washout period).
  • You are not at high risk for suicide, and you meet certain health criteria (e.g., no significant heart, liver, or kidney problems, no active infections like hepatitis B or HIV).
