Who can take part
- You have liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) confirmed by biopsy or clinical imaging.
- Your tumor is located very close to the outer surface of the liver (within 3 mm).
- You have a single tumor up to 5 cm, or up to 3 tumors, each up to 3 cm.
- Your liver function is stable enough to be classified as Child-Pugh class A or B.
- The cancer has not spread into nearby blood vessels, major organs, or outside the liver.
- You have not had prior radiation, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy for this cancer, and have no other active cancers.
