Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old and expected to live at least 1 more year.
  • You have liver cancer (HCC) confirmed by imaging, biopsy, or high AFP levels.
  • You have no more than 5 liver tumors, with all tumors 5 cm or smaller and at least one tumor between 2 and 5 cm.
  • The cancer has not spread into major blood vessels or outside the liver.
  • You are physically active enough to care for yourself (ECOG score 0-2).
  • You have adequate blood clotting function (platelets at least 50,000 and INR 1.8 or lower, or correctable).
