Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with persistent atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) and are scheduled for your first catheter ablation (a procedure to correct the rhythm).
  • You have not had a prior catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation.
  • You do not have severe heart valve disease that needs surgery or a procedure.
  • You have not had a heart attack or stroke in the last 3 months.
  • You are not currently participating in another investigational drug or device study.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding (if female).
