Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have coronary artery disease that needs bypass surgery, and your doctor plans a minimally invasive approach.
  • You have not had atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) before.
  • You do not have severe heart valve problems or other major heart conditions.
  • You do not have severe kidney problems or poor lung function.
  • You are not taking certain heart rhythm medicines (except beta-blockers).
