Locally Advanced Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with a type of head and neck cancer (squamous cell carcinoma) that has not spread far, and you had surgery to remove the cancer.
  • You are able to perform your daily activities (performance status 2 or less).
  • After surgery, doctors found no cancer in your lymph nodes, or only one lymph node with a tiny amount of cancer that is less than 1 cm and has not spread outside the node.
  • You have not had radiation therapy or surgery on the head or neck before this trial.
  • You are not pregnant or able to give consent.
  • You must start radiation therapy within 8 weeks after your surgery.
