Who can take part

  • You are 19 years or older and scheduled for elective off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery.
  • You can understand the study and give written consent.
  • Your back muscle depth at a specific spot is less than 2 cm (measured by ultrasound before surgery).
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (eGFR below 30), a kidney transplant, or a single kidney.
  • You are not having emergency surgery or surgery with another department.
  • You do not have active bleeding, infection, or a BMI over 30.
