Who can take part

  • You must be at least 50 years old (for wet AMD) or at least 18 (for diabetic macular edema).
  • You must have been diagnosed with either neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration or diabetic macular edema in the eye being treated.
  • You must have already received at least three eye injections of an anti-VEGF medicine (like Eylea, Lucentis, or Avastin) for that condition.
  • Your doctor has already decided to start you on the higher-dose aflibercept as part of your normal care, before you joined this study.
  • You cannot have certain other eye conditions or infections that could interfere with the study, and you must not have had certain steroid eye treatments recently.
  • If you have diabetic macular edema, you cannot have had laser treatment in the eye within the last 3 months.
