  • You have a tight web space between your thumb and index finger after a burn or injury.
  • Your thumb movement is limited because of this tightness.
  • You are healthy enough to have surgery.
  • You do not have an active infection in the affected hand.
  • You do not have uncontrolled diabetes or poor blood flow in your hand.
  • You have not had a previous surgery to fix the same web space.
