Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 5 and 16 years old.
  • They must be referred by a pediatric lung specialist for an exercise challenge test.
  • Both the oscillometry (gentle sound wave) and spirometry (blowing) breathing tests must be done successfully and give consistent results.
  • The study is only for children who can complete both tests properly — not just one.
  • They must be having the test between January 2023 and April 2026.
