Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have been diagnosed with septic shock by your doctors.
- You have both a central venous catheter (a special IV) and an arterial line (a special monitor) in place.
- You do not have active bleeding.
- You are not currently on ECMO (a machine that pumps blood for you).
- You do not have Raynaud's disease or poor circulation in your fingers that makes testing them unreliable.
