Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 65 years old
  • Have a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis or axial spondyloarthritis
  • Have stable medication for at least 3 months before the study
  • Have spinal pain of at least 4 out of 10 in the past week
  • Be able to walk without help
  • Not have had spinal surgery in the last 6 months
  • Not have fibromyalgia or other chronic pain conditions
  • Not be pregnant
  • Not have skin problems that would prevent wearing a device
  • Not be regularly doing supervised exercise for your condition in the last 3 months
