Shortened treatment for uncomplicated blood yeast infection

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You are currently receiving caspofungin for a yeast infection in your blood (candidemia)
  • Your blood cultures have been clear of yeast for 7 consecutive days before starting this study treatment
  • Your central line (a tube inserted into a vein) has been removed or replaced within 48 hours of starting caspofungin
  • You do not have complicated candidemia, such as eye infection, heart infection, or recent infection within the past 3 months
