Who can take part
- You must be a man aged 50 or older.
- Your life expectancy must be more than 10 years.
- You must have prostate cancer confirmed by biopsy, with a Gleason score of 6 (3+3) or 7 (3+4).
- At least one cancer focus must be invisible on MRI (MRI shows no suspicious area or a very low suspicion score).
- Your cancer must be confined to the prostate (no spread outside on MRI).
- Your PSA level must be less than 20 ng/mL.
- You must not have had any prior prostate cancer treatment (surgery, radiation, hormone therapy).
- You must not have had radiation therapy to the pelvic area for any reason.
- You must be able to undergo MRI, PSMA PET-CT, and anesthesia without contraindications.
- You must not have a bleeding disorder that cannot be corrected, nor take blood thinners that cannot be stopped.
- You must not have an active urinary tract infection or acute prostatitis.
- You must not have bladder stones, bladder cancer, or a urethral stricture.
