Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a BMI of 28 or higher, or a BMI between 24 and 28 with at least one weight-related health condition (such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol).
- If you have type 2 diabetes, your most recent blood sugar test (HbA1c) must be between 6.5% and 10.0%.
- You have tried to lose weight through diet before but were not successful.
- You have not had significant, unintentional weight loss or gain in the past 3 months (more than 5% of your body weight).
- You do not have type 1 diabetes, a history of pancreatitis, or a personal or family history of certain thyroid conditions. You have not had weight-loss surgery recently and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
