Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 24 and 30, or between 28 and 30 if you have no weight-related health problems.
  • You have at least one weight-related health problem (like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, fatty liver, or heart disease).
  • You have tried to lose weight before but haven't been able to keep it off.
  • You do not have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or any other type of diabetes, or a history of diabetic coma.
  • Your weight has been stable (no big changes) for the past 3 months.
  • You have never had pancreatitis.
  • You do not have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 syndrome.
