Stroke care during the COVID-19 pandemic

This study compares two ways of caring for stroke patients who aren't candidates for emergency clot-removal surgery. Half will receive care through a virtual stroke unit (telemedicine), and half will receive traditional in-person care at the hospital. The goal is to see if both approaches work equally well for recovery and safety.

This pilot study follows adults who have had a stroke recently, to better understand essential acute stroke care in low-resource settings. It is observational (no active treatment assignment), but timing and key exclusions apply.

This study invites people who have recently had a stroke or TIA (mini-stroke) to share their experiences and help improve how stroke care decisions are made. Your input will help doctors and hospitals provide better, more equitable care for all stroke patients.

This study looks at how people get to the hospital after a stroke, whether by ambulance or other means, and how that affects their recovery. The goal is to understand which care patterns lead to better outcomes.

This trial tests a telestroke triage process for people with suspected stroke. It aims to help emergency responders quickly connect you with stroke specialists, which could speed up treatment.
