First-line treatment for HER2-positive advanced colorectal cancer
Part of Cancer, Digestive system clinical trials.
This trial tests a new drug combination for people with advanced colorectal cancer that has a specific protein called HER2. The treatment includes a targeted drug (trastuzumab rezetecan) plus chemotherapy and another targeted drug (bevacizumab) to see if it can shrink tumors and help patients live longer.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.

This trial tests a new sequence of targeted therapies for advanced HER2-positive breast cancer. It aims to see if giving these drugs in a specific order can shrink tumors and delay progression better than current approaches.
This trial tests a combination of three drugs (trastuzumab deruxtecan, capecitabine, and bevacizumab) as the first treatment for people with HER2-positive colorectal cancer that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to see if this combination can shrink tumors and help patients live longer.
This trial tests a combination of two targeted drugs (against HER2) plus a chemotherapy drug called irinotecan for people with HER2-positive colorectal cancer that has spread and has not responded to standard treatments. The goal is to see if this combo can shrink or control the cancer better than current options.
This study tests a new drug called trastuzumab rezetecan for people with advanced solid tumors that show a certain protein (HER2). The drug targets HER2 to help kill cancer cells, and the goal is to see if it is safe and effective.
This study tests a combination of an existing targeted drug (trastuzumab) and a new experimental drug (retlirafusp alfa) for advanced stomach cancer that has a specific marker (HER2) and did not respond to initial treatment. The goal is to see if this combination can help control the cancer.
This trial tests two targeted drugs, trastuzumab rezetecan and trastuzumab deruxtecan, to see which works better for HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery. These drugs target the HER2 protein on cancer cells to slow or stop their growth.
