Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your cancer has spread to the spine and is pressing on the spinal cord, and you are a candidate for surgery.
  • Your type of cancer is one of the eligible types (such as breast, prostate, or lung).
  • You are able to walk, and your overall health is fairly good (score of 60 or higher on a standard health scale).
  • You have not had radiation to the same area before.
  • You are willing and able to have an MRI every day during treatment.
