Inhaled study drug for pulmonary hypertension with lung scarring
Part of Heart & circulation, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This study tests an inhaled medication called mosliciguat for people with pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) caused by certain types of lung scarring. It may help improve your ability to exercise and manage symptoms.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) along with one of these lung diseases: idiopathic interstitial pneumonia, chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis, or ILD linked to connective tissue disease.
- The diagnosis must be confirmed by a CT scan of your chest.
- You must have had a right heart catheterization (a test that checks pressure in your heart and lungs) to confirm the high blood pressure.
- You need to be able to walk at least 100 meters (about the length of a football field) in 6 minutes.
- You must not have had a recent flare-up of your lung disease (within the last month) that required a change in treatment or hospitalization.
- Your oxygen use at rest must be less than or equal to 10 liters per minute.

This trial tests a new medicine called mosliciguat combined with an inhaled treatment (treprostinil) for people who have both scarring lung disease (interstitial lung disease) and high blood pressure in the lungs. It aims to see if this combination can improve how well you feel and function.
This study tests an inhaled powder medication called TPIP (treprostinil palmitil inhalation powder) to see if it can improve symptoms and exercise ability in people who have both interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. The study will compare TPIP against a placebo (a dummy treatment without the active drug) to understand how well it works and if it is safe.
This study provides access to an experimental treatment called inhaled nitric oxide (delivered by the INOpulse device) for people with pulmonary hypertension caused by lung scarring. It aims to see if this treatment can help improve their condition.
This study tests a new dry powder inhaled medicine called LIQ861 for people with pulmonary hypertension related to lung scarring (PH-ILD). If you are already taking an inhaled treprostinil treatment but need better control, this trial may help you switch to a potentially easier-to-use version.
This study tests an oral medication (H01/hymecromone) to see if it can help people with progressive lung scarring (ILD). It lasts about 12 to 24 weeks and requires good lung function without needing oxygen at rest.
This trial tests whether an inhaled medication called treprostinil (which helps open blood vessels in the lungs) can improve exercise ability in people who get high blood pressure in the lungs only during exercise. Participation involves taking the medication and doing exercise tests to see how well you do.
