Who can take part
- You must have high blood pressure in your lungs (pulmonary hypertension) caused by chronic lung disease, confirmed by a heart catheter test.
- Your pulmonary hypertension medicines must be at the same dose for at least 30 days before starting.
- You cannot have diabetes (type 1 or type 2) now or in the past year.
- You cannot have used pioglitazone, rosiglitazone, metformin, insulin, or other diabetes medicines in the last 90 days.
- You cannot have a history of bladder cancer or low platelet counts (≤120).
- You cannot currently smoke or have cystic fibrosis.
