Metastatic Non-Clear Cell Renal Cell CarcinomaMetastatic Renal Medullary Carcinomas

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This trial tests a combination of two drugs—an immunotherapy called toripalimab and a targeted therapy called axitinib—for people with rare kidney cancers that have spread. The goal is to see if this combination can shrink or control the cancer before any surgery to remove the kidney.

Immunotherapy plus targeted therapy for advanced kidney cancer

This trial tests a combination of two drugs — an immunotherapy (toripalimab) and a targeted therapy (axitinib) — as the first treatment for advanced kidney cancer. The approach may shrink the tumor before deciding whether and when to remove the kidney surgically.

NCT07571551Recruiting· Phase 2
Immunotherapy and targeted drug treatment for kidney cancer

This trial tests a combination of immunotherapy and targeted drugs (called IO/TKI) given before and after surgery for clear cell renal cell carcinoma (a type of kidney cancer). The goal is to shrink tumors and improve survival outcomes.

NCT07172386Recruiting· Phase 2
Pre-surgery treatment for advanced kidney cancer

This trial tests if a combination of targeted embolization, immunotherapy (Toripalimab), and a targeted therapy pill (Axitinib) can shrink advanced kidney cancer before surgery. It is for patients whose cancer has spread to nearby tissues or lymph nodes, or has limited spread elsewhere that can be removed.

Radiation plus drug combo for kidney cancer that has spread a little

This trial tests a combination of targeted radiation, an oral drug (axitinib), and an immunotherapy (toripalimab) for people with kidney cancer that has spread to a few spots. It aims to see if this combo helps control the cancer longer.

SBRT plus immunotherapy and targeted therapy for kidney cancer

This trial tests a combination of targeted therapy (axitinib) and immunotherapy (toripalimab) alongside stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for kidney cancer that has come back or spread. It may be an option if you have a limited number of metastatic tumors that can be treated with radiation.
