Faster radiation scheduling for aggressive non-small cell lung cancer

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This trial studies a new way of giving radiation therapy to the chest for lung cancer that is growing quickly. The approach uses a special schedule to damage the cancer more effectively, which might improve how well the treatment works.

Stereotactic Radiation for Advanced Lung Cancer Without Chemotherapy

This trial tests whether a special type of focused radiation therapy can effectively treat advanced non-small cell lung cancer (the most common type) as an upfront treatment. It may help patients avoid or delay chemotherapy while controlling their cancer.

NCT06141070Recruiting· Phase 3
Adding high-dose radiation to standard treatment for advanced lung cancer

This trial tests whether adding a high, focused dose of radiation to the usual first treatment (chemo and/or immunotherapy) can help people with non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to a limited number of spots (up to 5). The goal is to see if this approach improves how well the treatment works.

NCT06849167Recruiting· Phase 2
Immunotherapy with low-dose chemoradiation for advanced lung cancer

This trial tests combining immunotherapy with a shorter course of chemoradiation for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer that hasn't spread. It aims to see if this approach is more effective and tolerable than standard treatment.

NCT06686771Recruiting· Phase 3
Radiation for limited growth in advanced lung cancer on immunotherapy

This trial tests whether giving high-precision radiation to a few spots that are growing during immunotherapy (with or without chemotherapy) can help people with advanced lung cancer. It aims to see if treating these limited areas of resistance can extend the time the cancer stays under control.

NCT03742687Recruiting
Testing a shorter, stronger radiation schedule for lung cancer

This trial studies a different way to deliver radiation to people with locally advanced, non-operable non-small cell lung cancer. It may help by aiming to treat the tumor effectively with a different radiation timing and dose pattern.
