- Age 18–74 years old

- Cancer confined to the chest with tumor less than 6 cm and involved lymph nodes less than 4 cm in 3 or fewer locations
- Good overall health and ability to function independently or with minimal assistance (ECOG 0–1)
- No prior radiation therapy to the chest
- Ability to attend long-term follow-up visits
