AI heart scan study for people with early calcium buildup
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This study uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze heart CT scans to help doctors decide if you need medications to lower your risk of a heart attack. It is for people who have some calcium in their heart arteries but no symptoms yet.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You had a heart calcium scan or chest CT in the last 3–6 months showing a calcium score between 1 and 299.
- You are a man aged 40–79 or a woman aged 45–79.
- You do not have any chest pain or other symptoms of heart disease.
- You have never had heart disease, a heart attack, or procedures like stents or bypass surgery.
- You are willing to have additional CT scans, blood tests, and take prescribed medications as part of the study.

This study uses an AI tool to read CT scans of your heart. The goal is to see if it can help prevent future heart problems by guiding treatment in people who already had a stent or a heart attack.
This study uses artificial intelligence to analyze your heart CT scan and better predict your risk of coronary artery disease (narrowing of the arteries that supply your heart). The goal is to help doctors identify who might need earlier treatment or more careful monitoring.
This study uses a special CT scan of your chest to check for calcium in your heart arteries, which can show early signs of heart disease. If you are at risk, your doctor will be notified to help you manage your cholesterol and reduce your chances of a heart attack or stroke.
This study uses a CT scan of your heart (CCTA) and advanced computer analysis to see how well it can predict heart risks compared to detailed inside-look tests (IVUS, OCT, NIRS). If you have chest pain and have had certain heart scans, this trial may help doctors understand your condition better.
This trial uses an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to analyze heart CT scans (CCTA) and identify dangerous plaque buildup that could lead to a heart attack. It aims to see if AI can better predict high-risk plaques in people with known or suspected coronary artery disease (CAD).
This trial builds and tests an AI system using information from a heart CT scan to help evaluate coronary artery disease (clogged heart arteries). If you need a CT coronary angiography for medical reasons, this may help improve how such scans are analyzed and used in care.
