Selumetinib for adults with NF1 and inoperable plexiform neurofibromas
Part of Brain & nervous system, Cancer, Genetic & congenital clinical trials.
This study looks at how well the drug selumetinib works and how safe it is in adults with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) who have a plexiform neurofibroma that causes symptoms and can't be removed by surgery. Participants will continue their planned treatment with selumetinib, and researchers will monitor their progress.

This trial tests an oral medication called PAS-004 for adults with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 who have at least one symptomatic plexiform neurofibroma that cannot be surgically removed. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink these tumors or improve symptoms, and to understand side effects.
This trial tests a drug called selumetinib (a pill) for people with NF2-related schwannomatosis, a condition that causes non-cancerous tumors to grow on nerves, especially near the ears. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink or stabilize these tumors and protect hearing.
This study is looking at new medicines for people with NF2-related schwannomatosis (NF2-SWN), a condition that causes tumors on nerves. It first tracks the natural course of the disease and may later test experimental drugs to help shrink or control tumors.
This study tests whether the drug selumetinib can prevent the growth of plexiform neurofibromas (nerve tumors) in young children with NF1. Children are first monitored with MRI scans, and if a tumor appears or grows, they may receive treatment.
This trial tests a low dose of a drug called selumetinib for children with NF1 who have plexiform neurofibromas that cannot be surgically removed. The goal is to see if this drug can help shrink or slow the growth of these tumors.
This trial tests a combination of two targeted drugs (cabozantinib and selumetinib) for people with NF1 who have plexiform neurofibromas that are growing or causing significant problems. The goal is to see if this combination can shrink or slow the growth of these tumors.
