Rifabutin for Mycobacterium abscessus lung infection
This study tests whether an antibiotic called rifabutin works better for treating a difficult lung infection (Mycobacterium abscessus) that resists a common antibiotic. You may qualify if you've been diagnosed with this infection and your lab tests show it can resist clarithromycin.

Rifabutin versus rifampicin for knee or hip staph implant infection
This Phase 3 trial compares two antibiotics—rifabutin and rifampicin—for treating staphylococcal (staph) infections around hip or knee joint implants when the implant is kept in place after cleaning (DAIR). It aims to see which drug works better to stop the infection from coming back.
