This research study investigates problems with immune system cells called phagocytes that help fight infections. Researchers will study patients with suspected immune defects and their blood relatives to better understand these conditions and develop better care.

Who can take part

  • You or a family member suspect or have been diagnosed with a phagocyte (infection-fighting cell) immune defect
  • You are at least 1 month old
  • You can provide consent yourself, or a legal representative can consent on your behalf if needed
  • You do not have HIV or active cancer, unless the study doctor believes it won't interfere with evaluation
  • If enrolling as a healthy volunteer, you must be 18–80 years old and able to consent for yourself
