  • You have a diagnosis of hydrocephalus (brain fluid buildup)
  • You have surgery or a procedure to treat hydrocephalus
  • Your treatment involves a shunt or related device (like a ventriculoperitoneal shunt) or an endoscopic third ventriculostomy
  • Your care does not involve only an external ventricular drain as the temporary procedure
