Test of tumor sample analysis for brainstem glioma

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine GliomaBrainstem Glioma

Part of Brain & nervous system, Cancer clinical trials.

This trial analyzes tumor tissue or samples to learn more about brainstem gliomas, including a common type called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma. The results may help doctors better understand these tumors and guide future treatments.

Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis based on symptoms plus MRI/scan imaging of a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma
  • Or you have another high-grade brainstem glioma, or a brainstem focal glioma that is WHO grade 1 or 2
  • The tumor must be located in the brainstem (not elsewhere in the brain)
  • Your tumor type must match the trial’s glioma categories (not a different kind of brain tumor)
  • You have tumor samples available for analysis (for example, from surgery or a biopsy)

NCT05839379Recruiting
Targeted therapy study for children and young adults with brain tumors

This trial studies a targeted medicine approach for high-grade glioma (a fast-growing brain tumor) and some diffuse midline tumors, including DIPG. It may help by matching treatment to tumor biology using tumor testing done before or around starting standard therapy.

NCT07374692Recruiting
Study of treatments for advanced brain and spinal cord tumors

This study looks at how different treatments work for people with advanced brain or spinal cord tumors that have come back. It helps doctors learn more about these tumors and how to better treat them.

NCT05622409Recruiting
Tissue and genetic data registry for diffuse glioma in adults

This study collects tumor tissue and basic medical information to better understand the genes involved in adult diffuse glioma. It may help future treatments by building a detailed research database and matching patients to study arms.

NCT05386043Recruiting
Study brain tumor testing with MRI and extra tissue samples

This study looks at how brain tumors look on MRI and what biopsy tissue shows, using samples taken during planned surgery. It may help improve understanding of tumor biology and future treatment planning.

NCT06999148Enrolling by invitation· Phase 2
Testing sonodynamic therapy with radiation and chemo for brainstem glioma

This trial tests whether adding sonodynamic therapy (a treatment that uses sound waves to activate a drug) before standard radiation and chemotherapy can help people with a type of brainstem glioma called DIPG. The goal is to see if this combination improves survival.

Zhengzhou, Undefined
NCT04274283Recruiting
Study of brain tumor samples and blood tests

This trial studies newly diagnosed or progressing brain tumors (grade 2–4 gliomas) to better understand the disease using tumor tissue and blood samples. It may help doctors learn which treatments could work best for different tumor types by matching tumor material to blood results.
