Who can take part
- Be at least 2 years old to be seen in the NIH Clinical Center (you may be able to join remotely if under 2).
- Have a suspected or confirmed viral infection the researchers are studying, or be a close contact of someone who has one.
- Alternatively, you may qualify if you recently had a viral infection that has cleared, or if you’re around the time of a recent/soon-to-occur viral vaccine.
- If you’re in the healthy control group, you must be 18 or older and able to give informed consent.
- Be willing and able to have study samples collected and stored for future research.
- You must be able to safely take part in study visits/tests; pregnant people and decisionally impaired adults are excluded from the healthy control group.
