MRI-guided freezing treatment for neck, head, and spine pain

This trial studies an MRI-guided procedure that “freezes” targeted nerves or joints to reduce pain in the head, neck, or spine. It may help if your pain comes from a joint problem or a compressed/damaged nerve and you can safely have MRI scans before and after the treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • A clinician thinks you will likely live more than 8 weeks
  • You can sign written consent and follow the visit schedule, including scans before and after
  • Your pain is from facet joint disease or a damaged/compressed nerve that may benefit from this procedure
  • If your pain is nerve-related (radiculopathy), a recent nerve block in the last 3 months must confirm the pain source
