Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with C. difficile diarrhea based on symptoms (frequent loose stools and abdominal discomfort).
- You already took the standard antibiotic treatment (metronidazole or vancomycin) for 10–14 days.
- Your C. difficile either did not improve, or it came back within 4 weeks after finishing antibiotics.
- You are not currently taking strong immune-suppressing medicines (like prednisone over 10 mg/day or certain immune-blocking drugs).
- You do not need ongoing antibiotics at the same time as this study.
- You should not have severe immune problems (like untreated HIV), recent bone marrow transplant, advanced organ failure, or severe conditions that make it unlikely you’ll live more than 1 year.
