Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have either ulcerative colitis (mild to moderate), metabolic syndrome, or recurrent C. diff infection.
  • If you have ulcerative colitis, your treatment has been stable for at least 8 weeks.
  • If you have metabolic syndrome, your treatment for related conditions has been stable for at least 8 weeks.
  • You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and willing to use effective birth control.
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last 4 weeks (unless you have recurrent C. diff infection).
