This study looks at your gut bacteria (from a stool sample) to see whether they can help predict heart risk in people being checked for blocked heart arteries. Your results may help researchers understand who is at higher risk and why.

Who can take part
- Be 18 or older and having a cardiac catheterization for suspected coronary artery disease
- Provide a stool sample you can mail to Mayo Clinic by overnight mail (FedEx) within 24 hours of collection
- If you take long-term antibiotics, you must be able to stop them at least 2 weeks before the stool sample
- If you use laxatives regularly, you must be able to stop them at least 2 weeks before the stool sample
- If you take probiotics, you must be able to stop them at least 2 weeks before the stool sample (plain yogurt is usually OK)
