Who can take part
- Be age 20 or older
- Have an eye condition that is causing reduced vision and you need ophthalmology treatment
- Have one of these conditions: diabetic eye disease (diabetic retinopathy), retinal blood-vessel problems, age-related macular degeneration (dry or wet), or retinal degeneration
- If you are a comparison group participant, be coming for cataract surgery or vitrectomy for non-growing (nonproliferative) back-of-eye issues
- Agree to sign the informed consent for the study
