Testing specialized grafts to repair complex aortic problems

Juxtarenal Aortic AneurysmSuprarenal Aortic AneurysmThoracoabdominal Aortic AneurysmPenetrating Aortic UlcerAortic Arch AneurysmAortic Dissection

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial studies different custom and modified stent-grafts (tiny metal-reinforced tubes placed inside the aorta) to repair difficult aortic aneurysms and dissections. It aims to see which approach best fits your aortic shape and helps keep blood flowing safely.

Who can take part

  • You have a complex aortic condition (aneurysm, penetrating ulcer, or dissection) and are stable enough for the procedure
  • Your aorta size/growth or symptoms fit the trial’s thresholds, or the condition is ruptured or causing symptoms
  • Your blood vessel “access routes” (iliac and arm/branch arteries for the procedure) must be suitable for delivering the graft
  • Your CT scan must show the aorta/branch vessel “landing zones” are long and shaped enough for the graft to seal and attach safely
  • You can agree to the study and follow scheduled follow-up visits
  • You are not planning pregnancy, and you are not under 18; your expected survival is at least 12 months

Testing a custom stent graft for complex aortic aneurysms

This study tests whether a surgeon-customized stent graft is safe and effective for treating complex, high-risk or hard-to-repair aortic aneurysms. It may help people who are at higher risk for open surgery or have aneurysms that previous treatments could not fully fix.

NCT06526676Recruiting
Custom stent grafts for aortic aneurysms in high-risk patients

This study tests custom-fitted stent grafts for patients with aortic aneurysms who are not good candidates for open surgery or standard stent grafts. The grafts are modified by the surgeon during the procedure to match your specific anatomy.

NCT02050113Recruiting
Custom endograft repair for complex aortic aneurysms

This trial tests custom-made and doctor-modified grafts to treat complex bulges in the aorta (the body’s main artery) or the part going into the pelvis. It may help people who cannot use standard approved devices or who need treatment urgently because waiting is unsafe.

NCT05339061Recruiting
Modified stent graft for complex abdominal aortic aneurysms

This study tests a specially customized endovascular (through blood vessels) repair for certain large or fast-growing aneurysms near the kidney area or chest-to-abdomen area. It may help people who are higher risk for open surgery and whose anatomy fits the device.

NCT04746677Recruiting
Stent repair for complex aortic problems when standard options fail

This trial tests whether a specially built stent-graft made for your anatomy can be done safely and effectively for complex aortic disease. It may help people who are too risky for open surgery or who cannot wait for a standard custom device to be made.

Boston, Massachusetts
NCT04524247Recruiting
Testing a custom stent graft for frail aortic aneurysms

This study looks at a specialized, customized stent graft to treat certain aneurysms (bulges) of the aorta in people who may be considered frail. It’s meant to see how well the device works and how safely it can be used in patients who fit specific aneurysm patterns.
