Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older and can give informed consent
- You have one of these diagnoses: Parkinson’s (idiopathic), primary dystonia, or essential tremor
- Your symptoms are not adequately controlled with medications at the highest appropriate treatment levels
- You are either willing to be evaluated for DBS surgery (if appropriate) or already have a DBS implanted
- You can complete brain testing, including thinking/memory checks and MRI scans (if you have no metal/implant limits)
- You do not have major uncontrolled medical, unstable heart/lung, or blood-clotting problems that raise surgery risk
