Who can take part
- You have Parkinson’s disease that improves with levodopa, or essential tremor that has not responded to medical treatment, or dystonia that has not responded to medical treatment.
- You are able to safely consider brain surgery for deep brain stimulation.
- You do not have dementia based on a cognitive testing score (Mattis Dementia Rating Scale 130 or higher).
- You do not have brain/structural conditions that would make intracranial surgery unsafe or impossible.
