Who can take part

  • You are age 6 months to 80 years
  • You are planning or have had an allogeneic stem cell transplant (donor transplant)
  • Your AML or MDS is “high-risk,” and you have not had a relapse in the blood/bone marrow
  • Your strength/function score is at least 50 (Karnofsky/Lansky)
  • T-cell “chimerism” levels are high (donor T cells make up enough of your body’s T cells)
  • You must be able to give informed consent (or your parent/guardian can)
