Tracking lung changes with special gas MRI scans

Who can take part

  • Age 50 to 85, and you have COPD or bronchiectasis, or more than 10 pack-years of smoking
  • You can understand the study and sign informed consent
  • You can hold your breath for 16 seconds during the scan
  • You are able to walk and complete a 6-minute walk test
  • Your lung tests must be within limits: FEV1 over 25% of predicted, and FVC over 25% of predicted (and over 0.5 liters)
