MRI study of lung function in people with asthma

This study uses MRI pictures to learn how asthma affects breathing and lung function. If you have asthma and can do breathing tests, you may be asked to take part to help researchers understand asthma better.

Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 60 years old and have a diagnosis of asthma
  • Have a smoking history of 1 pack per year or less
  • Be able to understand the study and sign consent
  • Be in generally stable health (not having major new problems recently)
  • Be able to do repeated breathing tests (spirometry) and have FEV1 above 60% predicted
