Who can take part
- You have biopsy-proven pancreatic adenocarcinoma (pancreas cancer confirmed with a tissue sample).
- Your cancer is considered unresectable, borderline resectable, medically inoperable, or you are refusing surgery.
- If your bile duct is blocked, you can join if you already have a drainage tube in place before starting proton radiation.
- Your blood and liver/kidney tests must be within certain limits (white blood cells, platelets, bilirubin, ALT, and creatinine).
- You must not have cancer spread to distant organs (no distant metastasis).
- You must not have had prior radiation to the abdomen.
