Who can take part
- You (or your child) must have LCH confirmed by biopsy (a tissue test).
- Age must be 0 to 21 years.
- Energy and ability to do daily activities must be fair or better (Karnofsky or Lansky score at least 50%).
- You can’t have had prior chemotherapy pills/infusions for LCH or other cancers (except limited steroid use for a short time).
- The LCH pattern can’t be only one skin or bone spot, unless it’s a higher-risk or special location that usually still needs systemic treatment.
- Kidney and liver blood tests must not be severely abnormal, and there must be no pregnancy or breastfeeding.
