Chloroquine to treat ongoing atrial fibrillation symptoms

Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older
  • You have persistent atrial fibrillation (it lasts more than 7 days but under 12 months), and it was documented in the past 24 months
  • You are currently taking a blood thinner to help prevent stroke
  • You have a pacemaker/ICD that can track AF, or you can wear a heart monitor for 2 weeks
  • You can safely take chloroquine (no allergy, and your ECG is not showing a dangerous QTc prolongation)
